My name is Terence. Those who know me calls me Terry or TB I served my country in the US Army first tour of three years. I am a homeless service connected veteran who got together with some friends and we discussed ways to help out veterans who are in the same boat as we are.
When i first came to Connecticut. The home that I was supposed to be moving in wasn.t on location. So I ended up having to go to South Park Inn downtown Hartford. While living there, the resources wasn't plentiful and I did what was needed to combat my homeless situation and find me an apartment.
While living at the homeless shelter, I went to the VA-Newington to check in and discovered they had a Volunteer office. I met Horace, Volunteer Assistant to Joe Canzanella -Assistant Chief of Voluntary Services Newington. They got me signed up and I started working there as a Volunteer.
We created this business @NaVU while Joe was still working at the VAMC-Newington and started working on 100% after he retired with 40yrs of faithful service. We came up with a plan of action to do as we have always done while working with him and that is taking care of our homeless veterans.
Today besides being a homeless veteran, I'm also a Recovery Specialist with many resources for any veteran who needs our help. Our services will make sure that no veteran is ever left behind again and never be in this situation again not unless that's what they choose to do. So now you know exactly who you all are dealing with.
Old saying "A closed mouth never hears your thoughts!"
PS: We have T-shirts, Hoodies, Long Sleeve Shirts and Polos available for sale to those of us not interested in our project. Everyone who comes on board as member gets theirs Free with their name attached.
